Families Are Forever! Familias son Eternas!

January 3, 2013 is a day I had been looking forward to since the day I was baptized, Christmas Eve 2011. A year of preparation and learning lead up to this day. I will never be able to find the enough words to describe how I felt January 3, 2013. So what is it that was so special? I went through the Salt Lake Temple and my husband and I were sealed as an eternal family :). So here's what happened that day! We arrived at the temple and my parents waited in the lobby as we went through, someday I hope I will be escorting my mom through the same temple and being sealed to my parents. As I was escorted through the temple to the different areas I remembered what Bishop Phillips had said before my first baptism trip, look around and take in the beauty. I did this and I was just in awe. When they escorted me throughout the temple I felt like a princess that this day was truly my day and I hadn't felt that at my first wedding. I don’t think I ever stopped smiling, my jaw hurt so bad at the end of the night. When we were escorted to the first room and I got to see Lyal dressed in white I knew I had made the right decision. As I watched our guests that had decided to come to the endowment session I remember thinking how peaceful and happy everyone looked which brought more happiness to me and my smile grew. When it came time for our sealing I wanted to jump up and down I was so excited, I didn't I refrained. When we walked into the sealing room I felt so much love from everyone especially Lyal, I no longer felt like a princess, I felt like a queen. We only had a few guests show up but that is ok because we had one very special guest that I am so happy was able to be there. I am so thankful for my escort who guided me through everything that I needed to do while I was there, she is a family friend who has watched me grow since I was born and I am so happy I was able to share my day with her! Thank you Jayne! For those that were not able to join us at the temple we had a reception January 5th, it was great seeing everyone that came. My mom and I made the decorations that we used, it was actually a lot of fun and I was surprised how well they turned out. Of course we had to get pictures of the shoes and rings :) I am so thankful for the missionaries that started teaching me in October 2011. Without them I would not be living the wonderful gospel life that I am now and happier than I have been in years! If you are interested in what The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints teaches or would like missionaries to come visit you head over to http://mormon.org/missionaries. They can find missionaries in your area to come visit with you and share this wonderful gospel!
