I had the missionaries over to feed like I do weekly. This evening my friend Angela and her family came over and she was doing the cooking, we had decided to do potato soup since one of the missionaries had said he was missing it. Little did we know this small request would turn into an adventure of clogging proportions. Angela's husband tried getting it unclogged but wasn't able too. A few of the missionaries tried to as well but I didn't have a drain snake so it wasn't working.
The water wouldn't drain even after running the disposal. I tried using drano and it didn't work.
So I went and bought a drain snake so I could get out the clog.
I had to get under the sink ready so I put a bucket under the pipe to catch the water that was in the sink.
Good thing I did since there was a good amount of water in there still.
I then began shoving the snake in the drain.... that sure was a task especially around the curves of the pipes.
It kept going and going and going......
and this is all I got out!
I ended up having to call a plumber to look at it. We still aren't sure what it is but he thinks he saw some clay in what he pulled out. I have to run hot water down my sink at least once a week to make sure it stays clear and try not to use my disposal. I definitely don't put potato peels down there.
